New Category for 2024: Best Teams Room Integration

Three things to note:

1 Our judges will be looking at the entire lifecycle of fully integrated AV installations and want to learn everything from contract win, system design, installation, troubleshooting and support after project completes. For this reason, only integrators – and in some cases consultants, distributors, and end users – can enter the vertical market categories, the Smart Building Award and the Best Teams Room Integration. We also welcome joint entries that include a partnership between consultant, end user and integrator.
1 Manufacturers however should not be discouraged. The Inavation Awards recognises the important contribution that technology vendors make to projects and we have a dedicated project category: the Applied Technology Award.
1 To enter the Smart Buildings category, you must enter one of the 10 vertical market categories and provide additional details on Smart Building elements of the project. If you only wish to enter the Smart Buildings Award, please contact awards organisers at inavationawards@imlgroup.co.uk

Best Teams Room Integration

Eligibility: Only open to integrators, distributors, consultants & end users. If you are a manufacturer please see Applied Technology Award below.
Fee: This category is free to enter
.

Projects can come from any vertical market but must have Microsoft Teams as the core videoconferencing platform. Applicants must explain why Microsoft Teams was chosen as the videoconferencing platform and should demonstrate the use of the wider Microsoft Teams and Microsoft solution offering (eg Office, Microsoft management portals.).

Successful applicants will demonstrate the use of a Microsoft Teams certified product ecosystem (eg: Microsoft Teams certified sources, outputs, control systems and peripherals.)

The context of a wider rollout can be mentioned, but the entry should focus on one room. If you wish to detail a larger project across an entire building or facility please consider entering a vertical market category (listed above).

Entrants can enter the same project into both a vertical market category and Best Teams Room Integration provided separate, dedicated entries, that meet the criteria of each award category, are provided.

Smart Buildings Award sponsored by KNX

Eligibility: Only open to integrators, consultants, distributors & end users who have also entered one of the ten vertical market categories above. If you would only like to enter the Smart Buildings Award please contact inavationawards@imlgroup.co.uk
If you are a manufacturer please see Applied Technology Award below.
Fee: This category is free to enter.

This award is for companies that can demonstrate delivery of intelligent, automated AV systems that integrate and interface with wider building management systems, as well as those integrators that have taken on larger aspects of a project to handle building systems such as security, HVAC and lighting and shading.

You can’t enter this award directly, instead you must complete a project entry into one of our vertical market categories and indicate that you would like to be considered for the Smart Building Award.

To be eligible you must answer two additional questions on the entry form and, within the entry you will upload, include a clearly headed section that outlines why the project is a worthy Smart Buildings Award winner.

Applied Technology Award

Eligibility: Only open to technology manufacturers.
Fee: There is a £350 entry fee for this category.

The Applied Technology category is looking for projects where technology or systems from a single manufacturer made a significant contribution to the installation. We also want to know how the distributor that supplied the product, or manufacturer that made the technology, made a valuable and direct contribution. That could be in support of system design, going the extra mile in site visits and installation support, or developing bespoke products or systems to meet specific project needs.
